We are always in a rush.  We want things done yesterday.  We have a  hard time waiting for instant rice to be ready in our microwaves.  We put our coffee in to-go cups so that we don’t take time to drink it at home.  We multi-task.  We read books and articles on using our time efficiently.  We are very busy people.

We are very busy and have urgent things to do except when it comes to relationships.  When it comes to relationships, we don’t seem to have the same sense of urgency.  We wait.  We always seems to think that there will be another day or opportunity to say what we feel, to share our heart, or go beyond a superficial relationship.  We say that one day we will tell those we love how much we love them.  One day we will tell them about how we feel in the depths of our heart.  One day we will tell them about how living with Jesus in our lives makes a difference.

The truth is that none of us are guaranteed another moment.  We only have the present.  We may not have another opportunity to share our heart, mind, and soul with those we love.  We may never have the chance to share what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus.  It is up to us to share our faith, our hearts, and our lives with others.  Instead of rushing around with all of the things of life, we should consider our relationships.  Do the people we love know how we feel?  Do they know what is important to us?  Do they know about our faith?  Let’s take the time today to share our heart with someone else.  Let us take the time to share our faith.  In doing that, we will transform the world.
