About Sandi

I stand in honor of Jesus Christ, in the pulpit, and in all sorts of other places and ways.  In this blog, you will find sermon excerpts, thoughts, and information about being a servant of Jesus Christ and a pastor of Foundry United Methodist Church.

When I was a little girl, I decided that I wanted to help people.  I wanted to make their lives better.  While I have changed the “how” of this, the desire to make lives better has not.  Being a Christian has changed me and my life so completely that I want that for everyone.  I want everyone to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and a faith community.  I have been a pastor for over 20 years.   As a United Methodist, we move where and when we are sent, so it is not up to us where we go and when we go.  Mike, my husband, is also a United Methodist pastor.

My daughter makes me evaluate what is important.  She is brilliant, and she asks the hard questions.  I tell her that serving God, loving others, and being educated, from books as well as life, are the important things of life.  We show her that having adventures is crucial to a full life.  Our adventures range from small ones, the flying squirrels that invaded our living space last year, to large ones, trips for missions and fun.  We show her that she needs adventures and goals just like we need adventures and goals.

So that is me – married with one child trying to change the world by the grace of God.
